Crime Report Kirkby in Ashfield and the Rural Villages for the week to midnight Wednesday 17 September 2025 |

No crimes of the types we include were reported in the Villages this week. Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling Around 4.25pm on Thursday 28 August in Urban Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, three white males arrived in a white Ford transit van with ‘Fullers’ on the side, at a property that was being refurbished. They stole plumbing pipework which they ripped from the walls. Burglary Other Nothing to Report Theft of motor vehicle Around 4.00am on Sunday 14 September in Spruce Grove, Kirkby in Ashfield, an attempt was made to take a Lexmoto 125, resulting in damage to the disc brakes and possibly the engine. Theft from motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft At some time in the morning of Thursday 11 September in Cornerpin Drive, Kirkby in Ashfield, a pushbike was stolen by known males and was recovered later in the day. At 6.08pm on Tuesday 16 September in Clover Street, Kirkby in Ashfield a low loader, with a red cab and ‘Mitchells’ in faded writing on the front, entered the yard of Ashfield Extrusions Ltd. and stole scrap metal and a blue open topped container. Described as Eastern Europeans, the driver in his mid 20’s had his hood up. The passenger had dark cropped hair and was wearing a bright yellow high viz jacket. Criminal Damage Nothing to Report ASB At 11.42am on Tuesday 16 September in Chapel Street, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of a boarded up property being broken into again.
